The recall and lead walking workshops are held out of doors so that you can practice the skills you are learning where you will need them; in the real World. Our venue at the Vale Cricket Club has lovely grounds in which to train as well as toilet facilities and tea and coffee is available to warm you up if the weather is in-climate. There is even a sheltered veranda for spectators.
The dog training industry is currently unregulated so to assure you that you are receiving quality training all our trainers are fully qualified and regulated by organisations that only use the kindest methods. These organisations are proud of the fact that they assess all members according to a strict criteria which ensures they have appropriate skills to teach dog training. So often in the past, choosing a trainer has been pot luck. Damage has been done to dogs before an unsuspecting owner can spot the danger or realise the discomfort it causes their pet. Training dogs has changed a great deal in the last few years. It is no longer necessary, or acceptable, to use harsh methods in training, and the use of gentle, motivational methods are as successful as they are enjoyable to use. All our trainers have been assessed by a force free regulatory body and proved to be of an excellent standard. Our lead trainer Saskia Ellis is a fully qualified member of the UK Association of Pet Dog trainers (membership number 01224) and the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (membership number 7009), DogAID (one of the leading assistance dog charities) and the Animal Behaviour and Training Counsel (APBC).
